Construction on Epsilon at The Star Residences Gold Coast Continues to Progress Well
Construction continues to progress smoothly on the tower that will house Epsilon at The Star Residences Gold Coast. The second tower underway for The Star Gold Coast masterplan, consisting of 63 storeys is scheduled for completion in 2024.
In addition to the 457 residential apartments of Epsilon at The Star Residences Gold Coast, the tower will also feature a 210 suite five-star hotel with exceptional guest amenities including a day spa, wellness centre, food and beverage offerings and lifestyle services. The residential development will boast a ‘subtropical’ recreation deck with residential amenities such as a lagoon-style swimming pool, sun deck, private cabanas, alfresco dining areas and landscaped gardens.
Speaking to Hotel Management, Destination Gold Coast Consortium Project Director Jaimie Calli said that foundation work was well underway with 280 piles being driven into the ground. Once piling is complete, a 2.5-metre-thick concrete slab will be poured in order to create a base slab for the tower. The first columns of the tower will be installed mid-year to form part of the tower’s 310 lot car park along Casino Drive.
Throughout the construction process, the development will create great job opportunities on the Gold Coast. At present, 60 workers are on site to deliver the piling and in-ground activities, and up to 500 workers are expected on site at the time of peak construction in 2023.
The first tower is also under construction and will house the 423 residential apartments of The Star Residences Tower 1, along with a 316 suite Dorsett hotel. The $2 billion Star Gold Coast Integrated Resort Development will have nearly 1,200 hotel rooms, 900 residential apartments and around 3,600 square metres of retail, promising to attract both locals and tourists to Broadbeach island.
